Good afternoon everyone!

This is Naomi Nitee Sarker and I’d like to cordially invite you to my
presentation on Business Application of Data analytics, block chain and machine learning

[Slide 2] So first of all let me explain what data analytics is. It essentially refers to all the processes and
tools required to process a set of data and interpret important insights from them. Here, Raw data is
collected and sorted and subjected to different algorithms to analyze and evaluate

[Slide 3] The analytical process can be different due to requirements and can often be divided in
subcategories which are Descriptive analytics: This describes what has happened over a given
period of time. Have the number of views gone up? Diagnostic analytics: This focuses more on
why something happened. Did the weather affect the sales? Predictive analytics: This moves to
what is likely going to happen in the near term. And Prescriptive analytics: This suggests a
course of action.

[Slide4] In order to process the data there are numerous analytical tools and softwares available.
Tableu, Microstrategy, TIBC, Thoughtspot, Sisense and Qlick are some of the more popular data
analytics tool currently in use.

[Slide 5] So why is data analytics such a necessity? Firstly, Data analytics is important because
it helps businesses optimize their performances. Implementing it into the business model means
companies can help reduce costs by identifying more efficient ways of doing business. As seen
here data analytics can be used to make better business decisions and help analyze customer
trends as well as future market trends, which can lead to new innovations and product
development. Additionally for operational and manufacturing efficiency as well as logistics and
risk management it has proved invaluable.

[Slide 6] As a career Data Analytics have also serious potential. The skills are firstly easily
attainable. In addition, as more businesses look to utilize data analytics the expertise his highly
coveted resulting in high pays. Furthermore, data analytics has been implemented in multi
faceted domains from healthcare to real-estate it offers a diverse career path.

[Slide 7] Now let us come to Block Chain, A blockchain is an encrypted distributed database that
is shared among computer network. A blockchain collects information together in groups, known
as "blocks" that hold sets of information. Blocks have certain storage capacities and, when filled,
are closed and linked to the previously filled block, forming a chain of data known as the
“blockchain.” This has revolutionized the cryptocurrency and fintech industry,

[Slide 8] One of the applications that implement block chain is bit coin . As you can see when a
transaction of bitcoin happens, the information is processed through a computer network and
assorted into a block after verification. These blocks are chained together to create a permanent
history of transactions.

[Slide 9] Block chain has revolutionized the cryptocurrency and fintech industry. In addition it
has also created a secure and organized pathway of record keeping, thereby it has been utilized in
supply chain management and information system for regulatory bodies.
[Slide 10] Block Chain is fairly new idea therefore it is continuously seeing utilization in newer
sectors every day, therefore It provides an opportunity to work for different portfolios from
fintech to government, In addition it has also created diverse roles, such as block chain engineer
to legal consultant.

[Slide 11] Lastly let us talk about machine learning. Machine learning (ML) is a type of
artificial intelligence (AI) that allows software applications to become more accurate at
predicting outcomes without being explicitly programmed to do so. Machine learning algorithms
use historical data as input to predict new output values. As seen here, The algorithm compares
new data with previously trained data to group predict and annotate.

[Slide 12] There are many softwares available but pytorch, Tensor flow and Rapid Minor are
some of the prominent

[Slide 13] Here you can see the different characteristics of Machine learning can be used for
different business requirements. It can be used to cluster data such as targeted marketing or
customer segmentation or classify data for fraud detection and so on.

[Slide 14] Machine Learning is a diverse topic with diverse application across and endless field
of opportunity’s. Therefore this skill can be implemented for a wide variety of careers including
Software Developer, Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer , Computational Linguist and so
on.

Thank you for your patience! That would be all from me today.
