IV. RATIONALE:
The school is called a second home for children and it is every teacher’s duty to
make it a comfortable space that would feel like home. One of the basic requirements
to achieve a successful school is to ensure that it provides a clean and safe
environment for its students.

Banquero Integrated School strongly believes that a conducive learning

environment highly affects the learning performance of the students. Hence, BIS, with
the support of the school’s stakeholders, maintains its cleanliness through proper
waste management, regular cleaning activities, and provision of functional and
accessible facilities with adequate water supply. One of the school’s numerous projects
is building up Wash In School areas outside and inside the classroom in compliance to
DepEd Order No. 10 s. 2016 otherwise known as Wash in Schools Policy.

The proponent wishes to put up a KUSINA (KUwadradong SIlid Ng KAlinisan)

inside the classroom that has a functional washing area with adequate water supply.
This project will be a huge help to ease students’ discomfort as they go through
puberty stage wherein they experience a lot of body changes.This project would also be
a greatly help for them to maintain their personal hygiene as safety health measures
especially in this pandemic situation.

IV. PROJECT OBJECTIVES

This project aims to:

a. To install a functional and accessible washing area inside the classroom with
adequate water supply.

b. To provide a comfortable area which will help ease students’ discomfort and
maintain their personal hygiene.

c. To provide a conducive and safe learning environment for every learner.

VI. TARGET BENEFICIARIES: A total of 230 junior high school students will be
benefited from the project.

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
School Year 2021-2022

I. INTRODUCTION

A clean classroom with complete facilities makes it a conducive space for learning. The
Department of Education implemented programs such as the Wash in Schools Policy
(DepEd Order No. 10 s. 2016) highlighting the provision of facilities to promote
personal health care and environmental sanitation through a set of standards for
proper and correct health practices in schools. Hence, Project KUSINA ((KUwadradong
SIlid Ng KAlinisan) was implemented to provide comfortable area with adequate water
supply for students. This project considers the welfare and comfort of high school
students with full awareness and understanding about the changes and experiences
that they are going through as they reach their adolescent stage. The students utilize
this facility to maintain proper hygiene especially in this pandemic situation.
