CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC

MOVIE SUMMARY

Rebecca Bloomwood loves to go shopping. The problem is that she spends so much money on
shopping that she is in debt. Rebecca has been trying to secure a job at the city's premier
fashion magazine but has been unsuccessful thus far. Then she gets a position as an advice
writer for the same company's financial magazine. Her column takes off like a rocket, but her
secret threatens to derail both her love life and her job.

CHARACTERS

Rebecca Bloomwood is the main character; she does not know how to face her problems so she
uses shopping as a coping mechanism and goes overboard. The company she works for closes
and does not have the means to pay her debt. She now gets a job at a finance magazine
publishing company and becomes a famous journalist. But her debt haunts her like a nightmare
and eventually destroys her relationships and career. She tries to be better person which
eventually will mend her broken relationships.

Suze is the best friend of Rebecca. She is the one who tries hard to guide Becks/Becky into the
right path. She tries to talk Becks out of her shopping problem.

Luke Brandon is the love interest of Rebecca. He is also the boss of Rebecca in the financial
magazine company.

Derek Smeath is the debt collector that eventually humiliates Rebecca but gets a taste of his
own medicine.

Graham & Jan Bloomwood are the parents of Rebecca.

Alette Naylor is the owner of Alette.

Alicia Billington works at Alette, tries to sabotage Rebecca with her career and love life.

and such. Learn to differentiate between needs and wants. You must also compare the costy,
worth and quality in everything.
