Safe Working Practice

 Never Mix Chemicals


 Use the correct colour coded Equipment and utensils
 A dedicated person is required for cleaning bathrooms and toilets
 Ensure the correct PPE is worn as indicated on the MSDS

Procedures Minimum Requirement

 Thoroughly clean the hand basin with


warm water and detergent inside and out.  Hand Basins should be free from soap
 Special attention to the underside of the build ups, smudges, smears, hair, tooth
basin paste etc.
 Wash taps and fittings, remember the
underside of the taps
 If pipes are visible on the underside wipe
with a damp cloth
 Do not use powder cleansers/scourers as
this can damage the chrome.
 Clean the surrounding wall/splash back
with a clean cloth
 When clean polish the chrome fittings with
a clean dry cloth
 Replenish soap and if required hand towels

Frequency

 Living areas as a minimum daily


Public Areas and central Ablutions two times per day
 As Required
