o Project title: Gender equality in universities around the globe

o Project mission
The expo about gender equality in universities around the globe aims to bring awareness to the students of
UMK about gender gap.
It wants to be educative and a good opportunity for other students to know about the efforts each country
does to reduce gender gap in universities.

o Project goal

 Bring awareness about gender equality to the students of UMK


 The number of students attending to the event should be our measurement tool
 The goal is to have about 50 students attending during all of the event
 The theme of gender gap in universities was chosen because our main target is people in UMK
 The event would last 4 hours

o High-level project description:


The project is an expo of posters about the actions put in place to reduce gender gap of different countries in
the world. Also, round tables would be organized in order to let the participants share their experience,
thoughts and feedback about the theme of the expo and the expo.
It will need to print five posters with mainly text and some illustration in colour. Each poster will represent a
country of one of the group members are from.

o High-level requirements:
The project needs to take place in the library of UMK on a weekday or on a Saturday. This place is well-
known among the students and allow us to host a lot of people. Furthermore, having the posters on time for
the expo is a major requirement.

o Project objectives:
Bring awareness about gender equality to the students of UMK.
Allow students to share their experience from their country.

o Summary milestone schedule:

January 5th
 All day: Exposition of the actions of France, China, Indonesia, Poland, and South Africa for
gender equality
 All day: Free round tables for the participants to share their experience in their country
 All day: Pin table for the participants to write and expose the actions undertaken by their home
country
 11 am – 12:30 pm and 17 pm – 18:30 pm: Questions & Answers time about the exposed
facts

o High-level risks:
There is a possibility that none or a few people attend to the event. The event might not be attractive to our
target. The event might take place during classes of some students thus not allow them to participate.
