From the 2020/21 academic year only that degree thesis can be
submitted, which has been approved by the supervisor and
which has been sent to the plagiarism software (URKUND) used
by the University.

The plagiarism control consists of easy steps for our students.

Our guide will clarify the degree thesis submission and the use
of the plagiarism software.

1. Submit your degree thesis to the e-mail address given by your supervisor

• Every supervisor has their own e-mail address registered in the URKUND plagiarism
software, which they provide if the thesis is ready for submission. Cli

• It is important, that the final version of the degree thesis is sent to the URKUND to
system.

• Pay attention to the format of your degree thesis. The „docx”, „pdf” and „.pages”
formats are compatible with the URKUND system, however the picture uploads (for
example „jpg”) are not.

2. Shortly you will receive the confirmation e-mail from the URKUND system, which
includes the identification number of the filter

• The confirmation e-mail will be in English, which contains the following:

• The plagiarism administration and evaluation will be done by your supervisor in the
URKUND system.
• It is important, that the confirmation e-mail only notifies you, that the thesis has
been submitted to the system. This does not mean that the control process is
over!
• If there is an error during the thesis submission, the URKUND system will send you
an e-mail notification.

3. Submit the Permission to degree thesis submission request through the Neptun system

• Submit the Permission to degree thesis submission request in Neptun under

Administration/Requests.
• During the request submission, add the reference ID you received from the
URKUND system.

• The request can be submitted even if your supervisor has not finished the
plagiarism evaluation of your degree thesis yet.

4. The request will arrive to your supervisor, who – if everything is in order – will approve your
degree thesis submission

• After your request is approved, you will have to start uploading your final degree
thesis and the additional documents to the Neptun system.

• In case your request is rejected, please consult with your supervisor about the issue.
