Longitudinal Control and Trim

Takeoff Characteristics

Conditions at takeoff were nearly identical for both Forward and Aft CG flights.
Airport information:
Airport Elevation 22.6’
OAT was 24 degrees c at takeoff for both FWD and AFT CG

Condition of Test
Full Aft Elevator held during break release for take off with measurement of when nosewheel
leaves ground

FWD CG
Elevator position – XXo
Flaps set 0
2700 RPM
29 in HG MAP
+ 18o Elevator defelction
Altimeter set 30.08
OAT 24o C
FD CG lifted the nose wheel at XX seconds into takeoff

Aft CG
Elevator position of 17.98o
Flaps set 0
2700 RPM
29 in HG MAP
+ 18o Elevator deflection
Altimeter set 30.08
OAT 24o C

Aft CG lifted the nose week at 0 seconds into takeoff, as soon as aircraft power was applied and
breaks were released.

Level Flight Characteristics

For the FWD CG group, the aircraft was able to attain an airspeed of XXXX mph, which was
90% of the Vh for the aircraft and maintain adequate trim authority.

For the AFT CG group, the aircraft was able to attain an airspeed of 141 mph, which was 90% of
the Vh of the aircraft and maintain adequate trim authority.

Landing Characteristics
On landing, main gear touched down at 16:49:20z, requiring 4.96 degrees of elevator to maintain
with full (40o) of flaps.
