3. Do you prefer travelling alone or with friends?

• Well, I prefer travelling on my own since I’m kind of an introverted and independently minded
person. Actually when travelling alone, I have the freedom to go wherever I want, do whatever
I like and eat whatever I’m into without asking others’ opinion.
• I prefer travelling with a group of close friends since still a student in university with a tight
budget, so travelling with my friends is simply more economical because we can share the bills,
besides, the more the merrier, right? ☺

TRAVELLING:
Answer: I’m really keen on travelling/ I’m an avid traveler/ I’m a real sucker for travelling.
When and who: when I’m free from study, I like to travel to different places with my friends or
family members.
Where: Da Nang is always my destination of choice mainly because of its breathtaking views and
a variety of delicious food.
Why: through travelling, I can meet different people, try different cuisine and experience another
culture.

I would like to talk about my trip to Da Lat, which is the highland city in Vietnam known with
breathtaking views and peaceful atmosphere.
Regarding when it was, I still remember vividly that it was about 4 years ago when I was a senior in
university, after finishing the final exam with flying colors, needless to say, I needed to relax and
unwind a bit. Therefore, my besties and I decided to make a 3-day trip to Da Lat since we are avid
travelers and heard a lot of good things about this place.
As regards how we got there, because at that time we were unemployed with a tight budget, a bus
trip is not a bad choice instead of flying there. Although it took us 10 hours to get there, we had a
chance to enjoy wonderful views on the way.
The time we spent in Da Lat was a blast. We got to try out so many wonderful experiences there such
as riding motorbikes under cold weather to some well-known places, climbing mountains and
wandering around the forest. This place not only has absolutely breathtaking views but also the cold
weather which make people feel comfortable and relaxed. Also, the food there was so unique and
delicious and the specialty is food always served with fresh vegetables.
Moving on what I remember most about the journey is the time being together with my besties,
exchanging stories along the way from our daily lives. And we realize that what we do is not the focus,
being together is the essence of friendship.
