Guth double-seal valves

T E C H N I K

A safe business
Functions

The hygienic double-seal valve is the result of a constant development of our line of reliable valves.
Our modern double-seal valve is, of course, water hammer proof and meets all requirements for a
safe separation of non-compatible fluids in a hygienic process.
Safe separation of media

Water hammer proof

Minimal number of different seals per valve size

Undivided one piece housing

Dead space free housing, without sump or dome

Patented valve function

Radial sealing

Leakage chamber is closed by two small pneumatic

valves or opened for CIP

Electropolished inner surface Ra <0,8µm, shorter

cleaning times

Shaft movable in up ward and down ward direction

No danger of injury,
all moving parts are covered

The removal of one clamp ring enables the complete valve

insert to be removed through the top of the valve housing

Complete cleanability of all product wetted parts

The new double seal valves, type VS, are designed to be incorporated in pipe systems, safely separating
two different liquid flows, i.e. product and detergent, conforming to highest technical and hygienic
standards. They serve to divert various liquid flows and to separate product from CIP liquids.
A spherical housing provides optimal flow and cleaning features.

The advantage is a compact and simple design, with

only a few moving parts which are covered to avoid any
danger of injury.
Different actuator sizes can be used related to product
and control pressures.
The function is reversible.
The valves are available with one-piece body or with
upper and lower body separable.

In closed position the upper and lower valve bodies are

each sealed by radially operating seals.
The chamber between the two seals is equipped with
two small pneumatic valves and is easily cleanable.
Product leakage due to a failing seal is fully drained by
two small valves.
Consequently a mixing or contamination of product
and detergent is eliminated.

The actuator and the two small valves are operated with
solenoid valves integrated in the control head. LED`s
visually indicate the valve position.
The control head system can easily be adapted to all
valve types.
Its compact and water-proof execution offers a multiple
use, from a simple feedback system to an ASI bus field
connection.

Every valve size has a minimal

number of different seals, saving
cost and inventory. The seal
shapes were developed in a series
of tests using a FE-analysis. A
gapfree encapsulation gives the seal
a longer life and guarantees a
bacteriologically safe operation.
