Purok Mangingisda is a small coastal community situated in Punta Gracia, Tubay,

Agusan del Norte. With the community’s main source of livelihood being fishing, they
regularly encounter marine biowaste. The main issue that comes with the
accumulation of biowaste, alongside other materials to be disposed of, is the
inadequate means of waste segregation.
To alleviate this, the team will be conducting a fundraising campaign entitled “Project
Punta Gracia” on Facebook. The aim of the project is both to build a social media
presence for the community and to encourage environmental awareness as we
attempt to raise enough funds for ten (10) material recovery facilities (MRFs) and at
least one (1) megaphone. The duration of the campaign will span for the whole month
of November until December 21, 2021.
In relation to this, we would like to humbly invite your organization to become one of
our sponsors/partners for Project Punta Gracia’s fundraising campaign. We hold the
belief that while this is only the first of many steps, we can gradually build a presence
for the community on social media to encourage awareness and lasting support.
