Where do these numbers come from?

- The Northern BC population of 260,585 comes from a snapshot of all residents registered with
MSP that was taken on March 12, 2021. It includes individuals who are born in 2009 or earlier
(age 12+) and had an address in a Northern CHSA at the time of that snapshot.
- An individual who has been immunized is counted in a CHSA based on their address where
available. If no client address is available, the postal code reported on the vaccination record is
used to determine geography assignment. If both are missing, the location where the person
was vaccinated is used to assign someone to a CHSA. If the person has an address outside of
BC or Canada, they are not counted in the “BC Population”.
