Observation 1: I listen to the same playlist

Why do I listen to the same playlist basically whenever I listen to music?

I listen to the same playlist for a lot of reasons. One of those reasons is that this playlist is
constantly being updated with new music that I find or existing music that I know I like that’s not yet in
the playlist. It’s better than listening to separate albums because I can just hit shuffle and skip what I
don’t want to listen to. I actually got the idea from my girlfriend who's been doing this for a couple of
years. So, I decided to do it as well and I already have over 200+ songs in it.

Observation 2: I listen to a lot of Kaiser Chiefs

Why is my playlist predominantly Kaiser Chiefs?

I have all 7 Kaiser Chiefs playlists in my playlist so the probability of one of their songs coming on
is very high. Whenever I get into my car, I always hit shuffle and 6/10 times, a Kaiser Chiefs song comes
on. I found them when I first heard their most popular song called Ruby. They're decently famous but
mainly because of Ruby. That’s how I found them and that’s how most people find out about them.
After I heard Ruby, I listened to the album it was in, and I fell in love. After that I binged listened to their
other 6 albums and I immediately out them all in my playlist.

Observation 3: I always listen to music while driving

What does this say about my driving?

I never drive without listening to music. When my phone connects to my car’s Bluetooth, it
automatically shuffles my playlist so I can listen to it and drive. Some people say I'm a bad driver
because I listen to my music quite loud when I drive but I think they’re wrong. It actually makes me
more focused and calms me down. But the strange thing is, if I need to make a sudden turn or I need to
really focus on something while driving, I turn it down. I have no clue why I do this but other than that,
you will never see me in my car without music blasting.

Observation 4: I listen to music when I play video games

Why do I skip the “slow” songs and repeat the “hype” songs?

Whenever I play video games, either alone or with friends, music is always playing in the
background. I have a hotkey on my keyboard that can pause, skip, and fast-forward through songs.
Whenever a song that has a slower tempo comes on (Ex: Remember You're a Girl- Kaiser Chiefs) and I’m
playing a fast-paced game, I usually skip it in favor of something more fast-paced. But, if I’m just chilling
by myself playing Minecraft, I won't skip any songs.

Observation 5: I listen to music when I do homework

Why do I only do homework while listening to music?

Whenever I do homework, I'm usually at home on my desktop computer at my desk. That computer and
desk have a lot of distractions on them. I get distract easily, but if I’m listing to music, I don’t get
distracted and I do my homework. For instance, right now. It’s Wednesday morning and I'm doing
homework, and listing to music right now (I’m listing to The Beatles). It keeps me from getting distracted
because it’s kind of a distraction in itself but it’s not enough to fully distract me but it helps me focus
more.
