In
volleyball there are teams made up of 12 players with 6 players each on volleyball
court. They consists a libero , two setters in the back row, left side, right side and
middle hitters in the front row.

To score a point the player must hit the ball over the net and onto the
opponent’s court. When the player hit it outside the court and inside of their court,
there will be a violation, also to serve properly the foot of the player must not touch
the side of their court . Each teams only allowed up 3 touches of the ball, it is against
to the rule when the player hit the ball two times in a row and for the team to hit the
ball more than 3 times. The first touch is known as pass or bump, it is where the ball
bouncing to the forearm, when the ball falls at player waist or lower. Then the second
touch is known as the set, it is where the player will control the ball to make the final
shot by the attacking player. Lastly, it is known as attack or spike, it is usually an
attacking shot over the net aimed at the opponent’s court, once a team has won the
point, all players must rotate clockwise and stand the new position. Volleyball have
three-sets wherein the team must score 25 points and at least two points ahead to
win the game. If both teams won two sets each , the fifth and last set will only have
15 points.

After understanding the basic rule and information in volleyball there are
other things that also need to know like the block, dig, libero and substitution. When
the attacker is immenent the defender can jump and stop the ball reaching to the
floor, through this, the defender can take advatage of it, if the ball bounce back to the
opponent’s court. Dig is stopping the ball by diving to rescue the ball hitting the
ground, then libero, they are the players who are agile and their job is to rescue the
ball. Then substitution, in each set the players can substitute 6 times while libero
have unlimited substitions.
