Analyse the routines set by the Resource Teacher by


answering the following questions.
1. Were the routines effective in ensuring discipline and order in the class?
Why? Why not?
 Yes, these routines are effectively followed by the pupils and should be sustain
the order inside the classroom. Imagine a class without daily routine; it will be
difficult for the teacher to ensure the discipline and order inside the class.
2. Which of those routines were systematic and consistently implemented?
Explain your answer.
 These are some routines that are systematic and consistently implemented:
checking of attendance, asking questions during class, submitting school projects,
working in groups, passing of papers and joining school activities. These routines
are implemented in order to sustain the learning process of the pupils.

1. Which of the routines will you most likely apply in your class? Why? Why not?
 As a future educator I will apply these routines: checking of
attendance, passing of papers, submission of projects, working by
pair or by group, asking questions during class, because these
routines are the most important routines that a classroom should
have. These routines will help me to sustain the discipline the
learning process of students in my future classroom.

Activity 6.2

LISTING DOWN CLASSROOM RULES

Observe a class and list down the classroom rules formulated by the Resource Teacher. Cite the
importance of these rules.

Classroom rules are imperative and must be reinforced for learners’ safety and
security. Rules also teach discipline and self-control. Rules eliminate stress and will provide a
more pleasant, secured and non-threatening environment. Rules ensure the students’ engagement
and focus in their classroom activities.

CLASSROOM RULES IMPORTANCE


1. Come on time. Ensures less tardiness in
class
2. Do not disturb classmates Avoid being distraction in

3. Listen to instruction Listen attentively to avoid

1. Analyze each given rules. What circumstances led to the


formulation of the rules?
Rules were being formulated to regularize a functional and
classroom management. These rules help the teacher to get rid
of unnecessary actions and bad habits inside the classroom.
These will also help the teacher to build an enjoyable and
conducive learning environment during class.

2. Are classroom rules really important?


Rules are essential for the classroom, every teacher need to
keep her students healthy and differentiate what is right from
wrong; which activity is acceptable activity in the class. Rules
are made up to show the students a correct behaviour inside
the class. Come to imagine a classroom without any rules, it is
going to be chaotic. And may lead to students hurting each
other either physical or psychologically. Along with that, as
they grow, the students will not understand how to behave
correctly in society.

Reflect on the various classroom rules set by the Resource


Teacher. Will you have the same rules? If not, what rules are
you going to employ? Explain your answer.

No, for me rules are the fundamental protocol that should


a learner obeys inside the class. As a future teacher, I will
implement the following rules inside the classroom, and these are:

1. Arrived on time, 3 late considered as 1 absent.


2. Avoid cheating
3. Listen to the given instructions attentively and
comprehensively.
4. No bullying
5. Do not use gadget inside the classroom if not necessary or
needed.

These rules are the most important things that the learners
should always be reminded, these rules will help them practice
reality attitude in near future. These rules will help them grow
positively.
