NMP GUIDELINES FOR RE-OPENING TO THE PUBLIC OF THE


CENTRAL MUSEUMS OF THE NATIONAL MUSEUM COMPLEX
IN RIZAL PARK, MANILA

(As of November 8, 2021)

Following the IATF Guidelines on the Implementation of Alert Level System for Covid-19 Response in
Pilot Areas, dated October 13, 2021 and the placement of Metro Manila in Alert Level 2 from
November 5 to 21, 2021, the National Museum of the Philippines will be accepting fully vaccinated
adults and visitors ages 18 and below provided they are accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult, in
a limited capacity.

To ensure the health and safety of the public and museum personnel, the following revised visitor
guidelines will be adopted.

I. Visiting Hours for all Museum Buildings

a. The National Museum of Fine Arts, National Museum of Anthropology, and National
Museum of Natural History are open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday, excluding
religious holidays, with morning session from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NN, and afternoon session
from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

b. Number of visitors for each museum building shall be limited to two hundred (200) per
session.

c. Cut-off time to arrive is 11:00 AM for the morning session, and 3:00 PM for the afternoon
session.

II. Persons Who Can Visit

a. Fully vaccinated adults and visitors ages 18 and below provided they are accompanied by
a fully vaccinated adult, in a limited capacity.

III. Preparing to Visit

a. For guaranteed entry (subject to compliance with other conditions below), visitors must
pre-book online at www.nationalmuseum.gov.ph at least one (1) day prior to the day of
the planned visit. Walk-ins are not accepted.

b. For inquiries regarding visitation, reservation, and other concerns, please call any of the
following numbers: i. 82981100 Local 3000 ii. 85277889. Visitors may also send inquiries
through email at cmvod@nationalmusuem.gov.ph or inquiry@nationalmuseum.gov.ph
c. Lines at the entrance of museum buildings will not be allowed.

IV. Staying Safe in the Museum

a. A temperature scan will be taken of every visitor upon entry to each museum
building. Persons with a temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius and above will not be
allowed to enter. Likewise, any person with fever and flu-like symptoms will not be
allowed to enter.

b. Visitors must complete a health declaration form prior to entry to each museum building.

c. Face mask and face shields must be worn at all times within the museum building.

d. Visitors are allowed to bring their own sanitizing kits (small bottles of alcohol, small spray
bottles, and tissue papers), but they must be mindful of their surroundings when using
their sanitizing kits.

e. The following items are NOT permitted inside the museum buildings:
• Art materials (including ink pens) other than pencils
• Bags and camera bags larger than 33 x 43 cm.
• Backpacks, baby backpack carriers, long umbrellas or other bulky items
• Food and drink
• Plants, flowers or other organic materials
• Tripods and video cameras
• Wrapped packages including gifts
• Pets

f. Social distancing of at least two (2) meters between persons not belonging to the same
household must be observed at all times.

g. Frequent hand washing/sanitizing is encouraged; hand sanitizers are available


throughout the premises while hand washing facilities are available in all comfort rooms.

h. Use of elevators shall only be allowed for persons with disabilities and senior citizens.

i. Guided tours are not allowed.
