Aness: Hi Nawwar!

Nawwar: Hi Aness. How are you? I feel rather bored today. What do you suggest we do?

Aness: I’m fine as always and true, we cannot see each other face-to-face as well. Well
since we are in the same situation right now, why don't we talk about something we both can
relate to. Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Nawwar: I think so! Is it about the advantage of face-to-face class?

Aness: Face-to-face class? Taking the current situation into consideration, it is no doubt that
having online class is better for students to avoid any risk of infection. For me, it is a deadly
disease but it does make us realize a couple of little things that turn out to be rather
important. I believe we are one step closer to being the better version of ourselves.

Aness: So, as a student during this particular pandemic, I will talk about the advantages of
online classes and if possible, I would like you to talk about face-to-face class. The first thing
for advantage of online class, I believe, is schedule flexibility. We don’t have to worry about
waking up extra early as we no longer need to walk all the way to the main campus for
lectures. It’s almost impossible for a student to be late if the lecture is being done online.
What about face-to-face class, Nawwar?

Nawwar: In face-to-face class, you don’t have to worry about setting up your own schedule.
The institute will give you a timetable with your class, dates and times. In today’s society, it’s
crucial that students become more disciplined by attending scheduled classes.

Aness: Even so, you do believe that having online classes can also improve our self-
discipline, right? It has become our responsibility to make sure that we wake up on time and
hand in tutorial tasks on time as well. We have to get ourselves together and do what’s right
and stop letting laziness take over our lives.

Aness: Not only that, students can now study at a place they are comfortable with. We can
study better when we are in our comfort zone so that’s another advantage of online classes.
We’ll get as much work space as we want and it will be easier for us, students to focus on
our online classes.

Nawwar: Aness, in my opinion, you'll be able to concentrate harder on your learning in class
than if you were at home because there’ll be less distraction. At home, there are various
forms of disruption that might make you lose focus. For example, house chores, electronic
devices, siblings and others.

Aness: True, but as a responsible student, I believe we can find a conducive place for us to
learn. The last advantage of online class from me for today, we can actually learn about the
digital world more with the usage of online class. As you may know, it’s very hard for digital
illiterates to adapt to the modern world nowadays. So, by having online classes, we can
learn more about the digital world, right?
Nawwar: You’re right! Therefore, I think we both agreed that both face-to-face and online
classes are beneficial in their own way. Even so, this has turned out to be such a meaningful
talk. Thank you for today, Aness.

Aness: It has been a wonderful time to be talking to you, Nawwar. I’ll see you soon! Thanks!
