Academic Project :

Project 1:   Rotor Stator Control of Induction Motor using PLC.

Description:

 In this project, the starting and variation of speed of phase wound induction motor is
automatically controlled and observed using Programmable Logic Controller i.e Siemens PLC
S7-300 which reduces the cost of using so many relays and human power. The industry drives
are automatically controlled. Software used are Simatic Manager 5.3 (Siemens), Windows XP.

Project 2: Protection and Testing of Power Transformer

Description:
In this project, the protection mechanism used in a power transformer(132/33KV) and the tests
performed for faultless and efficient operation without much power loss are studied thoroughly
with practical exposure during summer training in Orissa Power Transmission and Corp. Ltd.
Project 3: Current Transformer Operation and Application in Power System
Description:
In this project, the current transformer operation principle, design, testing and application in
power system details are discussed. Everything is practically studied during summer training in
NTPC, Kaniha.
