The 2nd Annual Full Figured Industry Awards

NEW YORK CITY, Ny- When life gives you curves, flaunt them! Saturday November 6th, 2021
the Full Figured Industry Awards will be hosting their second award ceremony to give
recognition to the plus size community. The event will begin at 4 p.m. EST and will be held
virtually. To everyone interested in the event, a ticket purchase is necessary. 

The Full Figured Industry Awards, also known as The FFIAs, began in 2019 by Tawana
Blassingame, the CEO, editor in chief of Queen Size Magazine. Blassingame created the FFIAs
to hold a prestigious ceremony to give recognition to the craftsmanship and commitment to the
individuals across all platforms who are involved in the full-figured industry. 

When talking to Blassingame she stated she created the FFIAs because, “When I would watch
the award ceremonies, you always hear the plus size women talk about how there is not enough
options, designer options for them to go out on the red carpet. And I was like we should have our
own. There are plenty of designers who design for the red carpet. So why can’t we have our
own.”

Some of the categories presented during the ceremony are: Male and Female Model of the Year,
Male and Female Designer of the Year, Innovative Product of the Year, Male and Female Stylist
of the year (both hair and fashion), Retail Brand of the Year, Boutique of the Year, Photographer
of the Year, and more. We are also giving out our Confidence Award to Catherine Ashly, our
Entrepreneurial Award to Joe Freeman, our Lifetime Achievement to Terri Murray, our Iconic
Award to Maddy Jones and the Outstanding Retail Brand Award to Lane Bryant .
