Lesson Objective: Moose of Ewenki
After reading The Moose of Ewenki, students will be asked to explore the web and find an example of an
animal in Native American folklore. Once they have selected a legend, students will be asked to write a
one-page (minimum of ten sentences) reflection on their findings. The paper must include a summary of
the legend and why the animal in the tale is important to the specific group of people. Class discussion
will be held where students can choose to share their findings. Papers will be submitted at the end of
class.
