Data Part 1:
Actual “system mass” (mass of car + mass of hanger+ 40g) 353g= .353kg
Calculations part1
(( |0.330-.353|)÷(.353))×100= 6.52%
(( |0.332-.353|)÷(.353))×100= 8.78%
(( |0.355-.353|)÷(.353))×100= 0.57%
(( |0.351-.353|)÷(.353))×100=0.57%
(( |0.322-.353|)÷(.353))×100=8.78%
(( |0.351-.353|)÷(.353))×100= 0.57%
both in the chart and graph a positive increase between Force and acceleration. As the mass of
the hangar increases the acceleration increases. Also, for the most part the data is following a
straight line as plotted above being not too far from the line. As for the percent error as seen from
the calculations several of them were similar in percentage differences, having a range of 0.57%
to 8.78% being the highest. The percent error occurred due to how the experiment is conducted,
misreading the measurement of the mass etc. In other words, human error. And as discussed in
the purpose the more force exerted on the string the more acceleration and the measurement of
