Who Do You Say Jesus is? Mark 8:29

At the incident, when Jesus asked the question, there is no proof that the term I am

means. He is suggesting to be the I AM as repeated in the book of john or Exodus 3:14. Jesus

tells the Pharisees, "Before Abraham was, I am,” and the Pharisees immediately know Jesus is

claiming to be the Father (God). Also, when Pharisees and the chief priests at the garden of

Gethsemane as if He is the Jesus of Nazareth, He responds, I am he." The Socratic method of

teaching uses answers and questions to assist learners to think through the possibilities and

derive the solutions on their own. Jesus gives disciples space to consider what they have heard

by asking them 1st who others are thinking about He in (Mark 8:29). Then, by asking what they

believe, Jesus allows them to consider for themselves the evidence. Disciples can 1 st determine if

the other claims fit with what they have heard and seen instead of having to come up with their

conclusion on the spot. The only option the remains is that Jesus is the Christ with the

alternatives considered and discarded.

On how I understand Jesus in Christianity, He is a divine soul who came to earth to teach

differences between right and wrong and teach people the right way to live. He was God for

them who came in a human to earth and lived an everyday life like other beings with many

difficulties and all trouble that a normal being can have in their life fight for there right and

wrong and given the right path for humanity. Christians praise him as he was sent by God

himself as his son to help those who need help and punish those who do not know the right way

to live, and that is why they praise the Bible as their holy book. Jesus was ideal to Christianity

who always steps ahead to the right path, and in the way of humanity after struggling and goes

through such difficult pain thought his life, he never regrets to God for his life neither left the

path of humankind but always helped others with genuine soul. Since I am a Christian, my

beliefs are similar to that of other Christians. I believe that God is divided into three individuals:

God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is popularly known as the son of God in the

trinity. He is the one whom God, the Father, has sent him to earth to preach the good news to

people and live as humans. I also believe that; Jesus is the one who was able to die for us on the

cross so that we could be saved from our sins. We would have no hope when we die without

Him. Jesus is like a bridge to Heave. There would be no other way to enter into Heaven without

that bridge. Furthermore, I believe Jesus is the life, the truth, and the way; no one can come to

the Father except via Him. He existed and that He was able to die and rose from the dead. There

is so much evidence explaining His life other than the Bible. I think it is silly to not believe in

Jesus's evidence when there are over twenty-thousand manuscripts that concern the Bible. I

believe that He will come back for his children someday, and I believe in Him.

Overall, per how I understand who Jesus is, He was an ideal God soul who came to earth,

and the main object why He came was to teach a lesson of humanity. I also believe in Him, and I

worship him because I think someday He will come and take His children.
