Passionate and dedicated first year university student working towards a BSc in Environmental Management &
Sustainability at Plymouth University. My studies are providing me with strong knowledge accompanied with
on-hand fieldwork to understand the biosphere and the current problems society are facing today.

Participant in the Global University Climate Forum


Conducting a student-led project for domestic food waste collection service within Plymouth where our project
was featured in a Cop26 publication and was awarded for our valuable contribution.

The modules cover environmental science, geography, and marine disciplines, as well as understands of
economics and resources, global sustainable development and environmental law and policy. The course
develops knowledge of scientific, legal, social, and economic areas towards environmental problems and
solutions, while providing key practical skills for scientific fieldwork.

Conservation Volunteer 2021 – current


Position: Volunteer at Moor Trees, UK
Role includes:
Contributing to the re-wilding Dartmoor and the act of preserving local native trees and maintaining the
conserved woodland.
Skills developed:
 Preserving traditional ecological knowledge of sowing seed
 Developing knowledge in tree and plant identification
 Using problem-solving and creative thinking skills to address and create solutions against climate
change impacts towards plant and tree growth
Secretary & Editor 2020 – 2021
Position: Volunteer at Climate Action Plymouth, UK
Role includes:
As Secretary my job includes chief minute-taker and editor for their media pages. The movement is affiliated
to Friends of the Earth where it brings together people and organizations wanting to take action and
promote positive change.
Skills developed:
 Communicating with environmental specialists and activists to help promote change within
Plymouth city on a local level, using a bottom-up approach
 Developing my networking skills to further connect with different organizations across Plymouth
 Gaining an understanding of environmental problems amongst local communities and developing
intervention opportunities for environmental sustainability improvements
 Problem-solving skills to promote environmental communication to diverse groups through social
media.

Position: Member at the University of Plymouth, UK
Role includes:
Contributing to the development of a more environmentally friendly and sustainable university, with
opportunities of improving Plymouth City through various activities.

Food and Beverage Assistant 2019 – current


Position: Employee at Dunster Castle, National Trust, UK
Role includes:
My role requires me to provided highly satisfactory customer service (developed through my Barista
training), as well as maintaining health and safety within the workplace (obtained food hygiene
qualifications). Additionally, my role includes educating visitors on the ecological and environmental
characteristics of the site

 Communication of ecological and environmental information to diverse groups of visitors about the
site
 Stimulating environmental learning and the benefits to conserving areas of national heritage and
importance

Position: Volunteer at Taunton School, UK
Role includes:
My role as library assistant was to support students during their learning process by upholding my
management duties, providing great library service, and providing on-hand assistance to students and staff.

Role includes:
As Treasurer, I am required to promote sales, monitor the financial stability, and manage the income of the
society to ensure the sustainability and continuation for its future.

 Developing my computer skills in Microsoft Office 365 by developing organized tables for in-
coming and out-going finances

Navy Combined Cadet Force 2015 – 2018
Position: Navy cadet at Taunton School, UK
Role includes:
As part of the School Cadet Force my role was to promote discipline and personal character development, as
well as focus on the benefits of managing and engaging in organized team work.
Skills developed:
 Communication with team members on correct engagement
 Understanding the role of the military and gaining and understanding of land ownership and national
waters
 Engaging in knowledge about the military and its effects on the marine environment
