GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. All questions are compulsory.
2. The question paper consists of 11 questions divided into three sections – A, B and C.
3. Section A contains 07 questions of 02 marks each, Section B contains 02 questions of 03
marks each and Section C contains 02 questions of 05 marks each.
4. Use of calculator is not permitted.
SECTION - A (2 x 7)
1. ∆ABC ≅∆RQP. Write the parts of ∆ABC that correspond to
(i) PQ (ii) ∠Q (iii) RP (iv) ∠QPR
2. Find the radius of the circle of area 154cm 2
3. For x  2 , value of 5 x 2  a  1 is 10. Find the value of a
4. Find the perimeter of the figure given.
5. A wire of length 176 cm is first bent into a square and then into a
circle. Which one will have more area?
6. Identify and show the terms and their factors in the following expression by tree diagram:
4p 2q – 3pq2 + 5pqr
7. Simplify: (a) 12m2n – 9m + 5m2 – 4m2 – 7m + 10m2n + n
(b) 2p2q – 7p + 5q2 – 14p2q – 3p
SECTION - B (3 x 2)
8. Subtract 11x 2  xy  9 y 2 from the sum of 5 xy  2 x 2  3 y 2 & 3x 2  5 y 2  10xy
9. In the given fig, AB=AC and AD is the bisector of  BAC
a) Prove that ADB  ADC
b) Write all pairs of equal angles.

SECTION - C (5 x 2)
10. Two cross roads, each of width 5 m, run at right angles through the center of a rectangular
park of length 70 m and breadth 45 m and parallel to its sides. Find the area of the roads Also
find the area of the park excluding cross roads. Find the cost of constructing the roads at the
rate of ₹105 per m2.

11. (a) Find the value of the following expressions for a = 3, b = 2. (3+2=5)
(i) a 2 + 2ab + b 2 (ii) a 3 – b 3
(b) State the congruence rule and write the congruent
triangle in symbolic form (in the given fig.)
