adults with Alzheimer’s disease. After a thorough review of the literature, you have
identified a new intervention you and your colleagues want to be trained to complete with
fidelity. Your employers are in support of you implementing this new, evidence-based
intervention but do not have funds to support training all of the therapists and have suggested
you apply for a grant to support the training.
2. You are an occupational therapy practitioner working in an inpatient rehabilitation unit
primarily with patient’s post-stroke. You and your colleague have found that a specific splint
coupled with meaningful participation in occupation-based activities appears to improve your
patients range of motion and functional outcomes. You want to test the effectiveness of this.
3. You are an occupational therapy practitioner working in the school systems primarily with
children with autism spectrum disorder. After multiple years’ experience working with this
population, you have identified the need for an app that provides visual and auditory sensory
input and addresses functional goals. You are interested in partnering with your friend who
works in IT developing apps to create this app.
