HOW TO UPCYCLE OLD SHIRTS AND TURN
THEM INTO TOTE BAGS/HAND BAGS

Upcycle: recycle by making something with a higher value than the starter materials

Materials
You can use the followings
materials:
Old shirts
Scissors
Sewing kit (optional)

Steps 1 - 2 1
Flip the shirt upside down and cut a
vertical line at the bottom. Then, tie
the opposite ends with a double knot

(not the adjacents ones!).
Optional: you can sew the bottom
if you want.

Steps 3 - 4
When you are done tying the

4 ends, trim off the excess.

Next, flip the shirt over again.

Steps 5-6
Cut the necklines and sleeves
and stretch the fabric to

create the look.
