Wesley Morris in the New York Times Magazine, March of 2021, Wesley Morris talks about how
Lil Nas X made his song, “Old Town Road” so groovy and obsessive to the whole world and put
him on his path to success in the music industry. Wesley Morris explains how “Old Town Road”
is super overplayed and the musical charts say the song is going away but not to renowned artist
Christone Ingram. Christone Ingram is describing “Old Town Road” as a classic and will end up
being the song of the century. “Old Town Road” has been the most popular song (to the charts)
in history and had multiple agencies controversy over the song being on country radio because of
Lil Nas X line “Ridin’ on a tractor/Lean all in my bladder”, but Billy Ray Cyrus got on the song
making a remix which led to the song ending up on Country radio. When Lil Nas X heard that
everyone loved the feature on his song he began to open it up to even more features reaching
even more audiences while sitting on his chair seeing all of his views rise. Seeing how all these
news features worked together with his performance he had surprised the whole room by adding
on verses with artists such as BTS, Mason Ramsey, Young Thug, DJ Diplo and Cyrus. Lil Nas X
saw this song's potential to reach every audience because of how diverse his song could change
