Good day my dear student! Praise be Jesus and Mary! Welcome to another week of fun learning! I have
prepared activities and new lessons for you to acquire. But before you start, kindly bow down your head and
PRELIMINARIES say your personal prayer.

As you go along in this module, in the long run and on your own, you will be able to apply subtraction in
mathematical problems and real-life situations as applied in preserving God’s creation.

A canteen helper can wash ninety-six plates in one hour. How many
plates can the helper was in 4 hours? In 9 hours? To answer this problem
you need skills in multiplication of numbers.

This chapter deals with multiplication of 1 to 3-digit factor with or


without regrouping. The different properties for multiplication will be
tackled. Multiplying by 10, 100 and 1 000 are likewise discussed.
Solving problems including money will be discussed step by step.

At the end of this module, you will be able to:


 Multiply 2 to 3-digit numbers by 1-digit with and without regrouping (M3NS-Iic-43.1)
 Multiply 2 to 3-digit numbers by 2-digit with and without regrouping (M3NS-Iic-43.3)
 Visualize and state basic multiplication facts for numbers up to 10 (M3NS-Iia-41.3)

Kindly get your Math 3 book and open it to the following pages for the discussion. Please be guided and follow the instructions
in each lessons!

CHAPTER 4: MULTIPLICATION OF WHOLE NUMBERS


Lesson 1: Stating Multiplication Facts for Numbers up to 10
Instructions:
➔ Read and understand the discussions on pages 83-84 with the guidance of your parent, guardian, or older sibling.
➔ As part of your exercise on this lesson kindly answer ”Concept Review” on page 85 of your book.

Lesson 2: Multiplying 2 to 3-Digit numbers by 1-digit and 2-digits


Instructions:
➔ Read and understand the discussions on pages 95-96 and page 101-102 with the guidance of your parent, guardian,
or older sibling.
As part of your exercise on this lesson kindly answer ”Concept Review” on page 96 and page 102 of your book.

Now that you have learned the numeration system and addition, challenge yourself and answer the following. Kindly read first
the instructions for this section.
