8.1 Rate of Work
8.1.1 Wet land operation
- Average Speed of operation was recorded as 4.08 to 4.27 km/h.
8.2 Quality of work
8.2.1 Wet land operation
- Average puddling index 75 to 76%.

9. EASE OF OPERATION & ADJUSTMENTS

No noticeable difficulty was observed during the operation and

adjustment of Peg type Puddler with Full cage wheels.

10. DEFECTS, BREAKDOWNS AND REPAIRS

No noticeable defect occurred in the Peg type puddler with Full cage
wheels during the test.

11. SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS, COMMENTS AND

RECOMMENDATION

11.1 The specification of implement hitch does not conform fully to the IS: 4468
(Pt-I)-1997. It is recommended that the same should be provided conforming
to the relevant Indian Standards.

11.2 The hardness of peg does not meet, in full, the requirement of IS: 6690-
1981. This should be looked into for corrective action.
11.3 The chemical composition of peg does not meet, in full, to the
requirement of IS: 6690-1981. This should be looked into for corrective
action.
11.4 The specification of Full cage wheel does not conform, in full, to the
requirements of IS: 11081 : 1993. This should be looked into for corrective
action.
