Generally speaking, some profess a belief that it is better for women to be a housewife in lieu of

trying to make money while others strongly believe that women have the right to opt for doing
what they wish to and become a main power of society. Owing to gender equality and the
benefit of children, I personally hold the belief that this statement is completely wrong and this
essay will illustrate both views.
On one hand, women be staying at home caring for children and their families due to the fact
that they are delicate and that is their duty. At the dawn of time, God has decided that woman
is the one who will give birth. Moreover, they are feeble due to week constitution while men
are strong and able to do hard work. Following this is that women are thought to be more
sentimental and capable of teaching their children well. For interpreting this, the BBC has
shown that the majority of women now are housewife.
On the flip side, women are human beings; thus, they should be treated as equally as men.
From time immemorial, every single person is born with human rights and freedom. Also, there
is no discrimination between men and women. Likewise, men and women are the same species
but different gender. Therefore, everyone can do anything without any restriction. If men can
go to work and earn money, then women can do the same. No one is forced to stay at home
because of their gender. To clarify the concept, research has proved that women have all the
capability to do things as men. For instance, Marie Curie was the first woman to win two Nobel
Prizes. Thereby, it is vital for women to do anything they love to.
What is more is that children must receive affection both from their parents. If the mom is the
one who stays at home, then their kids will spend more time with their moms while their dads
are busy working and making money. Consequently, there will be a lack of affection from men
which could result in mental disorders in youngsters. According to scientist, the majority of ill-
mental adolescents are the people who received a bereft of love from moms or dads.
In conclusion, as women have the same rights as men and it is better for children to stay by
both parents’ side, I disagree with the above-mentioned statement.
