INTRODUCTION

Teaching is my first career followed by dreaming to be a doctor in an
undecided field.Being an HR Officer is also part of my career goals. For me,
those careers can help me to have a better future for my family and to be a
successful person someday. I can prove myself to others. I can make my
parents proud as well.

My career goal when I was in elementary is to be a teacher. I love

bonding with children. I used to help and teach my cousins with their project
and assignments. To be a doctor is my second choice. This is what my father
wants for me. According to him, I’ll be having a better future if I choose this
career because of the high salary. He said that I can travel and do whatever I

want in exchange for a long period of studying, just like my aunt. To be an HR

Officer is my third career goal. I started to have this choice since I was in
Junior High School. It is because of my older cousin that is currently working
as an HR Officer in Canon Company. I can see that she can support her sisters
with their education and the daily expenses of their family, even though she
has been working only for a year.

I had a hard time choosing the career that best suits me. Among those
three careers, I’ve chosen to be an HR Officer someday. I finally selected my
research topic by basing on the result of the career surveys that I took. I know
for myself that I can be a better person for my family if I choose this career.

CONCLUSION
I learned so much knowledge about the career after doing this research.
The questions and assumptions in my mind are now answered and confirmed.
The advantages of being an HR Officers are: enough salary, connection with
different kinds of people, development of their skills, and company’s benefits
offer. On the other hand, the disadvantages of this career are: the behavior of
the people they worked or deal with, stressful job, and handling the problem
of various people.

I find being an HR Officer interesting because at first I thought that the

only responsibility of an HR is to handle payroll. My assumption proven
wrong. There are so many duties and responsibility of an HR Officer. They are
the one who recruits, interview, screen, and hires people. Being an HR Officer
is a responsibility. Since they are the one who will determine if an applicant is
fit for the company he belong, the development of the company depends on
their decision.

Generally, I think I will pursue this career because the skills that an HR
Officer should have are present for me. I know that as I study the course that
will lead to this career, I will learn a lot of things that regards to the job of an
HR Officer until I become trained enough to start my career. Also, the salary of
an HR Officer is enough for me to sustain my family’s needs and wants. Even
though this job is stressful, I will do my best to fulfill my responsibility in
exchange for a better future for my family.

Human Resource Officer is a great career path because according to

Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, human resource is one of the fastest
growing career paths in the United States. In addition to high-earning
potential, a human resources career can be personally rewarding and offer
longevity. It can even lead to an executive-level position within an
organization.

RECOMMENDATION

I recommend to the future researcher, to discuss in their research paper
the things that are not discussed in this research. It will serve as a help for
them to know all the information about this career. The future researchers
should look for the respondent that are close to them so that they were able to
receive the response as soon as possible.

I recommend them to pursue this career because it can help them to

have a good relationship to other people and to develop their self to be a
better person.
