RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Worked as a Manager and looked after various equipment Maintenance activities like
(Wagon tipplers, Ship unloaders, Apron feeders, paddle feeders, Travelling trippers,
Stacker reclaimers, Crushers Pumps, Facilities Management activities like HVAC
systems, plumbing, carpentry, Conveyors, DE systems, Bearings, scoop couplings, Gears

and Gear Boxes, Hydraulic systems, Pulleys, Idlers, pipe line activities, rotary
equipment’s like blowers, heating and cooling systems ,compressors, fans and heavy
earth movers (HEMM) of mining equipment’s like Dozers, Excavators, wheel Loaders,
Trippers, Back hoe loader etc..)
 Supervise, co-ordinate and participate in Daily preventive, corrective, predictive,
breakdown maintenance activities.
 Performing alignment of various machines, cutting and welding activities and developing
good maintenance strategies to improve availability & reliability of machines.
 Planning and executing the maintenance schedules and analyze breakdowns & implement
corrective actions.
 Day to day Manpower allocation to various works depending on the line absenteeism.
 Planning maintenance activities in co-ordination with operation department and ensuring
equipment isolation for works for safe working environment by applying PTW (Permit to
Work) in SAP, material consumption updation and timely closing of permits.
 Ensuring completing all maintenance jobs by following safety norms, Identifying hazards
and performing risk assessments to ensure zero harm and sustainable safety culture.
 Creating PM checklists for newly added equipment’s, also maintaining & modifying PM
checklists religiously for future references & for audit purpose.
 Executing new projects as per P&ID’s and commissioning as per standards.
 Contract/ Vendor Management like contract estimation, preparation of scope of work,
monthly billing strategy as per KPI's, Manpower & tools and tackles list, Safety
compliances, vendor performances.
 Preparation of SOP’s for all Operational and Maintenance procedures, Work orders etc.,
 Critical equipment’s maintenance to prevent sudden failures and planning for their spares
and inventory management.
 Planning for elimination of Major Repetitive Defects for reduction of Repair Cost.
 Reclamation & in-house fabrication of OEM spares for cost savings & spare availability.
 Manpower and cost estimation for AMC, RSD/OH works.
 Creating & maintaining the master list of equipment’s & spare parts.
 Participate in periodic reviews on critical spares, min/max inventory levels, material
master coding & support on list of materials creation.
 Preparation of Department Annual Budget considering CAPEX/OPEX and identifying
the needs of material & services for procurement and monitoring expenditure as per plan.
 Raising PR (Purchase Requisition) timely in SAP & creating TER (Technical Evaluation
Report) by thoroughly going through vendor offers for material/service procurement
 Rigorous follow up with Top management, purchasing group personnel & vendors for
timely approval of Need validation, PR & TER’s, Maintaining dept. AOP (Annual
Operating Plan).

 Conducting inter-departmental audits for IMS (Integrated Management System), ISO
documentation, 5S work place management system, Safety compliance reports.

MAJOR JOBS UNDERTAKEN:


 In-House reconditioning of BEML BS6D170-1 Dozer Engine and BEML BS6D105
Excavator engine by procuring total engine spares from third party and assembling it at
site itself which made a huge breakthrough in cost saving of approx. 30Lacs to company.
 Reclamation of complete Dozer Transmission system which is malfunctioning due to
failure of clutch discs and plates overheating and damaged springs of piston by procuring
necessary spares which involved in huge cost reduction to company.
 Erection and commissioning of Fire Fighting system and dust suppression system for
plant CHP-Expansion.
 In-House repairing of Gear boxes, Scoop couplings, hydraulic cylinders, pumps.

ACHIEVEMENTS:
Awarded “PAR EXCELLANCE AWARD” for department in 5S National Conference
organized in June by Quality Circle Forum of India.
 Department 5S Coordinator & winner of “BEST KAIZEN AWARD” during yearly
recertification of 5S audit and safety representative.
 Secured “BEST ENGINEER AWARD” on 15-SEP -2015 during Engineers Day
Celebration’s at Rosa for In-House reconditioning of Diesel Engines.
