Turkey is the BOMB!!!!!
Turkey is one of my favorite items on christmas because it
tastes amazing. The recipe has been around longer than my
93 year old great grandma. The turkey is something we can
all agree on and that’s why it’s one of my favorite Christmas
items.
 Putting up the Christmas Tree

I love putting up the christmas tree because it brings us

together so we can all talk about what happened this year.
This tradition came because my dad can never get the tree lit
correctly without it taking forever. This makes us laugh and
spend more time together.
I love Sweet Potato Pie!!!
Sweet potato pie is one of my favorites because we only have
it twice a year and that makes it more special. It makes each
bite of that recipe from way back sweeter than ever before.
 Family Time
Family time is my favorite because it is always the most fun I
have. It teaches me how blessed I am to have a family. The
history of the family is a branch of social history that
concerns the sociocultural evolution of kinship groups from
prehistoric to modern times.
Ham is Amazing (not better than turkey)
Ham is one of the center dishes on christmas it is even more
rare than the pie. I only have ham on Christmas which makes
every smokey taste more special.The word ham derives from
the Old English hamm and refers specifically to a cut of meat
from the hog's hind legs.
Peppermint Bark
I prefer peppermint bark over any other Christmas candy
because it’s sweet, crunchy and fresh tasting all at the same
time. The origins of peppermint bark—candy cane bits
nestled on top of a half milk chocolate, half white chocolate
bar—are lost to time, but the tasty treat dates back to at least
the 1960s.
 Traditions
My favorite Christmas tradition is when on Christmas Eve
we all sit in the living room and talk to each other about what
has happened years before. We all sleep in the living room
because we just fall asleep there most of the time. We have
been doing this since before my brother was born.
 Presents
Those presents have
you so anxious the
week they are under
the tree. All you want
to do is see what is
inside, but on
christmas you can do
that.Gift-giving has its
roots in pagan rituals
held during the
 Snow Fighting
I love when it snows because we have snowball fights that makes us go into
war with snow forts and everything. Confederate troops stationed in the
Rappahannock Valley in Northern Virginia begin exchanging friendly
snowball fire.
Cooking
Cooking with my mom
and sister is fun
because they teach me
how to cook recipes I
have never seen before.
These recipes have been
passed down for
generations.
Christmas Movies
The movie The
Christmas Prince is my
favorite because it is a
good story with a
happy ending showing
family is greater than
blood.
Eating
I feel that out of all of
these, when I finally get
to sit down and eat is my
most favorite time. This
is when all the hard
work is over and I can
finally relax.
