Questions:
1. List 5 differences between an animal cell and a plant cell.
- A plant cell has a large central vacuole that stores water while the animal cell has smaller vacuoles.
- The plant cell has a cell wall that provides support for the cell.
- The plant cells are closely packed together to provide rigidity for the plant.
- The plant cell is full of chloroplasts which provide food for the cell.
- The plant cells are green while the animal cells are not they are more of a black.

2. Would these cells be considered prokaryotic or eukaryotic cells? Explain.

These would be eukaryotic cells, this would be so because they have many types off organelles that aren’t
found in prokaryotic cells, they also don’t have a bundle of DNA in the center, they also don’t have flagella
to propel them.
3. Which polysaccharide is found in the cell wall of plants?
Cellulose can be found in the cell wall of plants.
4. Is it a plant cell or only a part in the plant cell that makes a plant green? Explain.
Only a part of the plant cell, the chloroplasts that make the cell green. If that was not the case then all plants
like tree trunks would be green.
5. Explain why a red blood cell ruptures when placed in a certain environment, while a plant cell
does not.
Blood cells will rupture and plant cells wont because the plant cells have extra strength from the cell wall
that provides support and rigidity.
6. Explain why you did not see the cell membrane in the plant cell.
You do not see the membrane in the plant cell because it is so thin and in kind of covered by the cell wall
that is bigger and blocks the view of the membrane.
