They could also be given some ESOPS in the company as a differentiator from the lower-level
employees.

He should show that the company’s intention was to put a safety net for the lower-level employees
so that they could attain a basic standard of living. But now, only the deserving people will be
promoted or given a raise based on performance. And if people become complacent, they would be
fired. Now that the pay is higher for the junior employees, better productivity will be expected from
them.
