Load Curve: This curve shows the change in demand for energy over time for consumers on a
supply source. This curve is called a daily load curve if it is drawn over 24 hours. The weekly,
monthly, or annual load curve is called if it's plotted for a week, month, or year. The load duration
curve is a good indicator of a population's activity when it comes to electrical power consumption.

AI: Computer science's field of artificial intelligence (AI) focuses on creating intelligent machines
that can do activities that generally need human judgment.

The application of artificial intelligence in the power sector is already reaching emerging
economies, where it may have a significant influence on the development of clean, inexpensive,
and dependable electricity. Power industry knowledge may be transferred to AI software firms
over time to meet the issues. In the automation of regular and organized activities, AI systems can
be highly beneficial when correctly built, leaving people to deal with tomorrow's power issues.
Intelligent artificial systems can reduce the usage of fossil fuels in power networks while
increasing the use of renewable energy sources. Power systems can benefit from improved
planning, operation, and control thanks to artificial intelligence. Because of this, artificial
intelligence (AI) and clean, low-cost energy are inextricably linked.
The most developed countries are in the forefront of applying artificial intelligence to the energy
sector. A good example is DeepMind, a Google company, which has been utilizing machine
learning algorithms to estimate electricity output 36 hours ahead of time using neural networks
trained on weather predictions and historical wind turbine data for 700 megawatts in the central
United States. 9 Algorithms that use deep learning can also learn on their own. Algorithms learn
by making mistakes and then trying again.

AI can be a powerful tool for the utilities for taking real-time decisions, which helps in a smooth
and flawless power supply. It can also be used to predict the varying load patterns in advance and
helps in making better scheduling of power at lower time intervals.

Some of the key benefits of using the AI for analyzing the load curve areas:
(i) Real-time decision-making based on varying load curves.
(ii) Real-time scheduling of power with lower time intervals.
(iii) Integrating renewable power and taking real-time grid integration decisions and power
routing.
(iv) Consumer service can benefit from AI automation by knowing when to provide more
personalized attention to a customer.
(v) Aside from improving consumer interaction, AI in the utility business may also help utilities
comply with regulatory requirements, manage transmission and distribution better, and find new
ways to generate income through electrification.
(vi) Another issue facing the electricity industry is the loss of revenue owing to unofficial
connections. The application of artificial intelligence (AI) might be used to discover
inconsistencies in customer data such as usage habits, payment history, and other personal
information. It can also enhance their monitoring if used in conjunction with automated meters.
Physical inspections may be costly and time-consuming, and this software can assist reduce those
costs.
