CONTENIDO:

To whom it may concern.

In September 2020, the Chilean writer Lily del Pilar wrote and published a fictional story about BTS’ members on a
public website for readers and writers, titled Still With You.

Mostly focusing on members Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jeongguk, the story also mentions members Kim Seokjin, Min
Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Kim Namjoon and Park Jimin as well as some other idols such as Mamamoo’s Jung Wheein.

Still With You was first published on June 5, 2020 and finished on September 27, 2020 this story was published in a
public website for readers and writers cold wet pad under the tags: Korea pregnancy, fanfic, gay, homosexual, idol,
preg (a short term for pregnancy), romance, mpreg and m- preg (both a short term for male pregnancy)

This book tells the story of a young police officer Jeon Jeongguk (later changed to Jong Sungguk) who is sent with his
mate Park Jimin (later changed to Lee Minki) to investigate a possible crime scene where they found Kim Taehyung
(later changed to Moon Daehyun) severely traumatised and in very poor health condition and mental state, so the
police and psychologist Kim Seokjin (later changed to Kim Seojun) tell officer Jeon not to engage with him because
he’s in a fragile state and it’s illegal, and that is exactly what he does breaking the law. Later on Taehyung is taken to
a hospital where Jimin’s boyfriend Min Yoongi (later changed to Yoon Jaebyu) works as a nurse and Kim Namjoon
(later changed to Choi Namsoo) works as a resident doctor. At the hospital Taehyung is checked for further injuries,
and they found out that he is a m-preg (which means that he can get pregnant by having anal intercourse with
another male).

“Los embarazos masculinos pasaron a denominarse m-preg, y no fue sino hasta el año 2000 cuando finalmente
fueron clasificados como una variante del tercer género: la intersexualidad” (Still With You, Chapter 10, Page 59)

Translation: male pregnancies were called m-preg, and it wasn’t until the year 2000 when they were finally classified
as a variant of the third gender: intersexuality.

What is truly troubling about this is that the author explains that Taehyung is intersex but still goes on calling him a
m-preg. Even though she hints that is incorrect calling intersexual people m-preg is incorrect, she still does it
throughout the whole book and probably in the second book, Still With Me, soon to be published on Wattpad is
going to call him that too. According to the World Health Organization on a paper published on May 17, 2016 they
explain: “Intersex: people are born with physical or biological sex characteristics including sexual anatomy
reproductive organs and/or chromosomal patterns that do not fit in the traditional definitions of male or female.
These characteristics may be apparent at birth or emerge later in life often at puberty… Understanding the related
risks and vulnerabilities associated with the way sexual behaviour and expression are perceived in society is also key
to understanding barriers to health and how to address these. Ill health related to sexuality represents a significant
disease burden throughout the world. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people face both similar and
different challenges in accessing healthcare services and ensuring their health needs are met, but as the community,
are more likely to experience human rights violations including violence, torture, criminalization, forced sterilisation
(often in the case of intersex persons) discrimination and stigma because they are perceived to fall outside of society
is constructed sex and gender norms“

And this is exactly why this book is so wrong, not only stigmatizes intersexuality, but also invisivilising significantly
what they are, and minimizes their struggle, reducing it to “a male who can get pregnant by having anal sex” which
cannot be more far away from reality, biology, and what intersex definitions say. This not only is highly disrespectful
to the intersex community, but also portrays members of BTS as people who talk and believe this.
The story went viral on the platform and last year the author got the opportunity to publish it as a physical book
under the “Planeta” publishing house. It finally was released to the public on May 1st, 2021. The book is titled “Still
With You” making a clear reference to the song composed by Jungkook, it’s being sold in bookstores throughout
Latin America.

The cover of the book is an illustration of a man that resembles BTS member Jungkook, and the back cover, just like
all posts advertising the book say “inspired by the band BTS”.

When the story was still on Wattpad and wasn’t published as a physical book, the characters had the same name as
the BTS members (as mentioned on previous paragraphs), but the names were later changed to other names which
they had clear intentions to keep as similar as possible as we can see here:

Jeongguk - Sungguk

Taehyung - Daehyun

Seokjin - Seojun

and so on.

The author Lily del Pilar and the publishing house (Planeta de Libros) are profiting by using the image and name of
BTS and their popularity. The content of the book is questionable and controversial, it infantilizes and sexualizes the
characters. Treats poorly, disrespect, invisibilise, minimize, and reduce Intersexual people and the LGBTQIA+
community and go against the community guidelines on how to portray people within the community on a book/tv
show/movie and the main reason why ARMY is reporting this book is because it is damaging to the image of the
band, and goes against the message BTS is spreading since day 1.

Since many people think this book is an official and licensed product, which is not. Latinamerican ARMY in union with
ARMY from all over the world who had seen how damaging this can be to BTS, hope HYBE Corporation and BigHit
Labels take legal actions against the author Lily del Pilar and the publishing house Planeta de Libros, so they retire
the book from all book stores and online stores as well as stopping Lily del Pilar to publish similar stories including
BTS. And hoping you take action so she can no longer get near BTS and HYBE facilities
