Problems of Maternity Allowance
GTL’s Voice Against those Criticized
Points :
They do not allow labor union. It does not mean that,
GLT does not allow employees participation. There is
an employees’ organization name Workers
Participation Committee (WPC). Organization takes
decision after discussing the matter with WPC
GTL provides rational salary which is determined by
Bangladesh Government. So collective bargaining is
less important
Organization cannot run with loss. So GTL can remove
extra labor. But, if such labor does not get any job
than GTL provides him/her 30 days basic in every year.
GTL should follow Labor Law. So GTL provides
maternity benefits in accordance with labor law.
