EXERCISE (“KARTILYA NG KATIPUNAN”) 

ANALYZE THE “KARTILYA NG KATIPUNAN.” 

1. What significant role does it played in the revolution and in the 
 unfolding of the Philippine history? (10 points) 
The significant role, Katipunan act in accordance with good manners in order to achieve the
peace they hope for and it also serves as rules to do good in all aspects of life. Served as a
handbook for new members of the organization, outlining the rules and ideals of the
organization. To also change one's past and awaken to the goodness that one must live for the
good of the individual, not as a just a Katipunan but as a Filipino in modern time too. However,
also a role well discipline of how to be good personality in deserving to be member of
Katipunan.

2. APPLICATION (10 points each) 

 Select four (4) from the fourteen (14) rules of the “Kartilya ng Katipunan”,
and explain its importance to personal/social living. 
 1.Code of conduct no.5.The honorable man prefers honor to personal gain; the scoundrel, gain to
honor. It’s importance to personal or living in social in order to be noble person always wants to honor
for self in order to give his self a personal gain of good quality of personality and giving worth is yourself
good image and to other people will see you, and that will lead himself as good example as being model
of every individual in an organization, and people will follow your great personality. However, rascal
personality also must to learn good personality to claim as an honor.

2.The Katipunan code of conduct no.6 To honorable man, his word is sacred.
The importance of being honorable man have its good presence of words to talk to other’s so other
people will believe to you, and well thought about everything that will give greatness about his
personality that increase good heart and mindset. towards living a good fellowship through his thought
in his social living. Other than that, you have a clear thought about virtue and not to mess up everything
and anything.
3.The Katipunan code of
conduct no.7. Do not waste thy time; wealth can be recovered but not time lost. The importance is
saving more time in doing good things in life time and to people around you, that had a good purpose to
benefits more good thing’s in time, and not in wasted in moment. Cause some things wealth like can be
we can recover anytime that we want. Doing good things in every aspect will help ourselves keeping
responsible in time. Doing importance at time saving important moment in good things that will
worthwhile to remember and sometimes sake good thing in future. Most important they involve this to
everyone knows that time to do good things for sake of saving time for virtue of everyone.

4.The Katipunan code of conduct no.2 To do good for personal gain and not for its own sake is not
virtue.
The importance is each individual shouldn’t do unselfish. We must do virtue and not to gain praises but
to demonstrate our full heart, because good deed done solely of fame is unworthy of name. Because
doing unselfish thing showing cares to other, your concern other also helping yourself as a good person.
Also including good things to you will be back on you. It also included here because they want to unity to
individual helping hands to reach the freedom of Filipino.
