Logic Model
● Inputs/Resources are the resources that go into making up any program such as staff,
raw materials, clients, facilities and equipment.
● Throughputs/Activities refers to the intervention or the program itself. It can also be
described as the activities that staff does to make a change for the client.
● Outputs in social services are sometimes called units of service. They describe how
much of something a client received over a period of time. An example of an output for
counseling services could be “30 parents received parenting skills training sessions of
two hours, one night a week for six weeks.
● Outcomes are measurable changes in quality of life for the client between entry into and
exit from the program. These need to be stated in quantifiable terms.
