G
Analysis
Instruction: Answer comprehensively the following
questions.
1. Differentiate the major arts from the minor arts.
_______________________________________________________________________________________
____As I browsed on the internet I read a sentence stating “The minor arts
include jewelry, silverware, objects art, coins, miniature sculptures and
carvings – in short, anything excluded by the “major arts” such as paintings,
prints and monumental sculptures”.
_______________________________________________________________________________________

2. Differentiate the graphic arts from the plastic arts.

_______________________________________________________________________________________
Plastic arts is a somewhat old style way of referring to art making, generally
3-dimensional methods, that have to do with physical manipulation of the
material such as modeling, molding and carving the materials. It may also
have been used referring to 3D digital modeling, and is workable as defined for
that although there are probably better terms to use.

Graphic arts - most of the time these days refer to 2 dimensional commercial

design applications, and would include typography, logo design, advertising,
etc. Again, the term is used currently to distinguish between Fine Arts
applications and activities; and the commercial, product and production
aspects of publications, commercial design and industrial design.
__________________________________________________________________________________

3. What are the values of arts in our lives?

______________________________________________________________________________________
Arts do provide us with many values in our lives. There are many things to
mention but I just want to make this sentence short. All I can say in
answering the question that the best values of art in our lives are; arts gives
us motivation and inspiration in doing different arts we do, arts makes us
happy while performing them, and improves our personal development.
______________________________________________________________________________________

4. Cite instances when the artists work may influence our ways
of life, thoughts and feelings.
______________________________________________________________________________________
I remembered a certain artwork of Juan Luna which was named “Spoliarium”
where the bodies of the dead gladiators where being dragged and afterwards
their weapons and garments were stripped off. I came up into conclusion that
the people in the past times doesn’t value much the importance of
individual’s life. That is why we must give importance to everybody’s lives.

Summary
Everything under the sun is a raw material for every artist
to draw his subject from. Most of the visual arts are representa
tions of the artist thoughts and feelings about the world he’s
living in. Some are representations of what an artist dream or
imagined about so that whatever subject he chooses,it involve
some personal statement, It always shows significanas well as
satisfying for him.
An artist`s choice of subject is usually affected by his
Medium as well as his choice of subject also depends largely upon the timein which
he lives and on the patronage he gets.
In our country, many subjects have been available to the artist.
Science and technology have opened new vistas for him.
The value of a work of art does not depend on the artist’s
choice of the subject` It does not necessarily follow that the more profound the
subject, the greater the work of art. Rather the worth of any representational work
of art depends upon the way the
subject has been presented.
