Chapter 5

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

Conclusion

In this chapter we the researchers conclude the following system:

Online Enrollment

The functionalities of the Web-based Thesis/Capstone Project Defense

Web-Based Enrollment System were fully created and nicely designed.

According to the developer/researcher, the assessment system will be a

wonderful instrument for easy evaluation of defense presentations with

accurate results of the groups of students who presented. Through the usage

of the system, students will be able to readily discover the panelists'/advisers'

remarks and ideas.

As a result, it is believed that the online enrollment system is a clear

improvement over paper-based (Thompson and Ahn, 2012). As with online

registration processing, even foreign students can inquire and enroll through

the internet without traveling (Then, 2006), which makes the institution more

attractive.

Database System

The use of database in school benefits greatly from the database

management system. Effective and efficient database management systems

are required for elementaries, high schools and universities in order to reduce

the paperwork so that if the sensitive data is lost it stored in a database

system. The use of a database management system (DBMS) ensures that

information held by institutions is safe and protected against unauthorized

access.

Why does it matter what form a database takes? Because “databases

make the world”—in that both they are omnipresent and we increasingly treat

the world as “something that can be encoded in a database”. Databases are

fundamental to the organization and access of data big and small. The

specific technology stacks and information models deployed by a database

have major implications for its use and maintenance over time. Changes in

these materialities of databases both reflect and cause changes to work

arrangements and collaborations. Understanding the impacts of specific

materialities is crucial to supporting work with and preservation of databases.

Furthermore, “examining the materialities of the database form uncovers a

range of historical specificities that help contextualize broader arguments

about digital media, and also illuminate the significance of contemporary

shifts, dislocations, disruptions and evolutions” of media use (Dourish, 2017).

Recommendations

We recommend these following to the future researcher of the related

Capstone Project:

Recommendation 1

The developer would like to propose that the College of Science

information Technology designate a system administrator who can maintain

and update the database every academic year.

Recommendation 2

The administrator must be able to manually add all of the new

enrollees, on a every school year. Because the system is web-based, all that

is required for it to function is a reliable internet connection and the usage of

the appropriate browsers. Administrators and developers may utilize the panel

to go through all of the files in the system.

Recommendation 3

The system's database is also available on the internet. The study's

goal is to build and aid in the development of a system that can solve the

problem of allowing students to easily enroll and check their own grades

without having to enquire at the school.

Recommendation 4

If the student has problem with grades, exams, projects and financial

support he/she should be able to contact a school personnel to assist the

following problems.

Recommendation 5

These days online payment is a thing, the system should provide a

form of transaction in order for the student to save time, low risk of having

covid, efficiency and security.
