craft of acting. Through a collectively
devised production process, they will
uncover and explore a world of their

own making onstage. This course will
navigate basic acting techniques for the
voice and the body while working to
craft a new piece of theatre inspired by

ACTING LAB
the ensemble. We will be creating a
play based on Penguins and specifically
explore Mr. Popper's Penguins and
Happy Feet. Get your tuxedos ready!
We will have a shared performance at

Matilda or Trunchbull? Glinda or
Elphaba Luke or Darth Vader? In this
Jr. Acting Lab we will explore the inner
life of heroes and villains. What drives
their actions? What are their
backstories? Do they sometimes cross
the line of good and evil? We will
explore these questions and more. In
Jr. Acting Lab, young actors will create
their own original short play with music,
movement, and dialogue. Their work
will be shared with friends and family at
a live performance at the end of the
session.
