VICTIM PRECIPITATION
Fight in office
➤ Constant derogation and humiliation of an employee, in public, by the employer, causes the
employee to lash out and physically harm the employer.

VICTIM FACILITATION
A person attempted to mug a man who was walking home from work and the man, instead of
willingly giving the offender his wallet, pulled out a gun and shot the holdaper.

VICTIM PROVOCATION
Auto – Theft
Allyssa is late on her first – day job, She parks her car in an alley several blocks from the store
she’s working. She never parked there before, and she knows the alley is adjacent to a high-
crime area. In her frenzy to get to work on time, Allyssa leaves her car unlocked. An hour later,
A Carjacker finds the unlocked car unlocked in the alley. He quickly and easily jumpstarts
Dolly's car and drives away.

Allyssa’s carelessness facilitated the commission of the crime-- leaving her car unlocked in a
high-crime area made the crime easier for an offender to commit.
