My Spending Plan

Windfall
I had earned $750 by working hard at my two jobs

Budget
I have divided the budget into six categories that includes savings, charity, food, entertainment,
clothing , and electronics. I gave clothes and electronics the most amount of money because I
love to shop for clothes and I like video games and I always wanted this new controller for my
xbox one and these items cost more than anything else I planned on spending my money on.

Plan
I plan on purchasing a lot of clothes and a good amount of video games with a new xbox one
controller. I am also going to purchase a lot of food and tickets to the movies but at the same
time save a nice amount of money so I won’t spend it all. Lastly give to charity.

I think I made a good spending decision because it is being spent on a good even amount of
necessities and wantings. Having the needs of food, clothes, and saving. Also having wanting to
go to the movies, play video games, and giving to charity. It is a really good balanced way to
spend the money.
Insights
1. The problem I encountered when making a purchase decision was that I had to let go of
something that I wanted to get which was hard but I still had a budget to stick by. I
solved it by letting it go and finding something better and cheaper.

2. Using the spreadsheet is very helpful when it comes to financial choices it makes it
easier to calculate on how much it would be to spend and help see if your stepping out
of your budget.
