Document Development Exposition: Workplace Correspondence

Explain in detail your document’s development from planning to finish, describing your
challenges, how you overcame them, and what you learned.

Planning
When planning this assignment, I went basically off the same topic that I had chosen to write my
white paper about. However, since my white paper was somewhat done incorrectly, my email and
my memo suffered the same fate.

First Draft (for peer editing)

My initial draft was not very extensive, as I wasn’t totally sure that I was going in the right direction.
My email and my memo both were very short and I wasn’t the most confident in it when turning it in
to get critiqued by my classmates.

Second Draft (for your packet)

My second draft was the same as my first draft, I just added some more to the assignment in order to
make both the email and the memo make more sense.

Final Draft (for your portfolio)

I did a complete overhaul of my white paper, making the topic correspond with the new topic that I
did for my white paper. My topic worked much better for this style of writing, since it has a definitive
problem and solution.
