sunlight, soil, water, and air to grow. Plants cannot move on their own, they
make their own food using water and sun light.
*Text* It is important to know the different parts of the plants because each part of a plant has an important job,
from the roots that absorb water and nutrients, to the leaves that make food using photosynthesis, to the
flowers and fruit that spread the plant's seeds. Plants also provide food and oxygen for the entire biosphere,
literally supporting the existence of life on Earth. They also provide shelter, fiber, fuel, and medicinal
compounds that profoundly affect mankind.
