GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCEPTANCE


1. The offered Weld Oscillator shall be adaptable to the existing MIG/MAG welding machines used
in CSL.
2. The item offered should be a proven product. The details of supply for the last 2 years to be
indicated in the offer supplied to any of Heavy/Engineering industry, Shipbuilding, in Public
sectors in India with a minimum quantity of 20 Nos. Copy of the purchase order, performance
certificate etc from the client to be submitted along with the offer.

3. The supplier shall indicate their willingness to offer the machine for trial run to CSL at free of
cost, no commitment basis for a period of minimum 4 weeks for the user trial to ascertain the
acceptability of machine to meet the CSL requirements.
4. Supplier should take responsibility of calibration of the machines as and when required.
5. The after sales & service support of the machine shall be provided in Kerala with relevant
supporting document attached.
6. The list of spares to be provided with price validity for 3 years.
7. The technical specification, service, operational & spares manual and the detailed circuit
drawings for the machine shall be provided during the technical evaluation from the OEM.
8. The supplier/dealer/distributor shall have the authorization letter from the OEM. The copy of
the CE certification of machine shall be provided by the supplier during the technical evaluation.

SPARE PARTS
The list of recommended spares for the normal operation and maintenance of the machine and
consumables for a period of one (1) year is to be supplied along with the machine. The fast moving
consumable spares should be supplied along with the equipment. Remaining spares shall be supplied
against the specific order in due course.
Spare parts to be completely classified into fast moving (mechanical), slow moving (mechanical),
electrical, electronics, torch holder and their part numbers listed in their parts manual in the technical
offer.
The price quoted for all the spares shall be kept firm and shall be freezed for minimum period of three
(3) years.

OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL


Operation and maintenance manuals shall be supplied along with the equipment. The material shall
contain detailed block diagrams; interconnection schemes, descriptions, diagnostic flow charts and
testing methods etc. The spare parts manual shall be provided with part numbers and clear part
description. Toolbox with sufficient tools for the servicing of the machine should be provided with each
machine.

TRAINING OF OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE


The supplier should impart training for a period of one week to the operation and maintenance team
during the period of testing & commissioning of the equipment at CSL.
In addition, if deemed necessary, CSL shall depute a team of 3 to 5 persons to supplier’s work for the
training for our welders, mechanical and electrical operations, programming and maintenance trainings
on periodic basis at our expense.

GUARANTEE
The equipment and its accessories shall be guaranteed for design, good material/workmanship and
satisfactory performance for a period of Three (3) years from the date of commissioning and final
acceptance by CSL.
During guarantee period, minor breakdown should be attended immediately. However major
breakdown like PCB failure should be addressed within 10 days of reporting.

AFTER SALES SERVICE


The supplier shall ensure efficient service support to attend to any failure/service requirements of the
equipment and accessories within a short notice in India.
