Title IX Awareness
Inbox
Greetings,
We are reaching out to bring awareness to Title IX and supply resources for further information.
Now, you may be wondering what Title IX is and why it's important to understand what rights are granted by it. Here is a brief
overview of what Title IX is:
Title IX was established as part of the Education Amendments of 1972. This portion of the amendments prohibits any sex-based
discrimination in any education program or activity that receives federal financial assistance. Furthermore, this includes the
protection of students from discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. In addition to this, the act also makes sure
that equal opportunities are supplied in athletics, activities, financial aid, and much more to all students regardless of gender.
If you would like to learn more about Title IX, here is the link to The US Department of Education's overview.

If you or someone you know would like to learn how to file a claim, the link below will provide further information.

We thank you for your time and hope that by bringing awareness to Title IX we will build a more informed community who
understands their rights as students.
Sincerely,
