A. Suppose you decide to become an analyst after you graduate.

What type of
analyst would you most prefer to be? What type of courses should you take
before you graduate? What type of summer job or internship should you seek?
- There are various types of analysts that have different responsibilities
depending on their particular task in their field of workplace. As the fast
emerging computing industries, being a system analyst is one of my choices,
among others that align with my course as an Information Systems student.
System analyst deals with knowing the trends of today’s technology in where
it can be applied in solving a problem of the system organization; also, in
designing and implementing those customized exact solution in systems or
computer network functionality, it also deals with diagnosing databases to
improve productivity. Being a system analyst, it also focuses on the
optimization of system performance where it involves the user experience,
and to ensure that the implementation of enhanced systems can function
properly.
To become a system analyst it requires an individual to be good in
decision making, critical thinking,creativity, good communication,
technical skills and other honed abilities that may develop with academic
study. Fist, attaining a bachelor’s degree that focuses on business and IT
related services and one of this is the Information Systems that includes
service management that involves data processing in which it is relevant in
the field of system analysis. In addition, taking up a course about
database design to provide understanding and honing my knowledge about
developing and analyzing databases that deals with complex relationship in
the system organization. After that I also wants to proceed in taking up
Master’s degree in Business Administration in Information Technology or MS
in Software development in which both of them requires honing technical
skills, imperative learning in implementing latest innovations of
technology in organizations and companies.
In able to be a successful system analyst it also requires to have an
internship or summer jobs in some technology, business company that can
build stronger experience towards the said chosen field. In small start-up
tech company it also gives an opportunity to enhance and build a deeper
understanding in tech industries by managing the organization and
implementing some system solutions if needed in where I can also know how
to cultivate or vanguard the new emerging technologies. Also, attaining an
experience in an entry-level database software developer is relevant in
pursuing system analyst and designs to performs software validations and
change control for new software and technology systems.

B. Develop a short plan that describes how you will prepare for your career
as an analyst.
