It is my privilege and pleasure to express my profound sense of
respect, gratitude and indebtedness to my supervisor
Mr.K.RAJKUMAR, Assistant professor, Department of ECE,SCITS,
for his constant guidance, inspiration, and constant encouragement
throughout this Technical Seminar work.
I wish to express our deep gratitude to Mr.A.SANTHOSH
KUMAR, AssociateProfessor and HOD, Department of ECE, SCITS,
Karimnagar for his cooperation and encouragement, in addition to
providing necessary facilities throughout the technical seminar work
I sincerely extend my thanks to Dr.A.PRASAD RAJU, Principal,
SCITS, Karimnagar, for providing all the facilities required for
completion of this Seminar.
I would like to thank all the staff and all my friends for their good

I am immensely indebted to our parents, brothers and sisters for
their love and unshakable belief in us and the understanding and ever-
decreasing grudges for not spending time more often. I will now, since
the excuse is in the process of vanishing by being printed on these very

Finally, I thank all those who directly and indirectly helped me in
this regard. I apologize for not listing everyone here.

ABSTRACT

Pixels per inch and pixels per centimeter (ppcm or pixels/cm) are

measurements of the pixel density of an electronic image device, such as a computer,
monitor or television display, or image digitizing device such as a camera or image
scanner. Horizontal and vertical density are usually the same, as most devices
have square pixels, but differ on devices that have non-square pixels. Note that pixel
density is not the same as resolution, where the former describes the amount of detail
on a physical surface or device, the latter describes the amount of pixel information
regardless of its scale. Considered in another way, a pixel has no inherent size or unit
(a pixel is actually a sample), but when it is printed, displayed, or scanned, then the
pixel has both a physical size (dimension) and a pixel density (ppi).
